Today is the first day of Advent! Does that make anyone else giddy?

Join me through this advent season as we look back at the birth of our Savior through the light of God's redemptive plan.

Today, I want to encourage you to read through Isaiah 9:6-7 tonight before you go to bed or maybe read it to your kids as you put them to bed. After reading it, I urge you to spend some time thinking through the names that are given in these verses. Wonderful Councilor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. Which of these names means the most to you and why? Which name do you find most meaningful to you in your current season of life?  I then encourage you to spend time praying the names Isaiah gave to Jesus and praise God for each one of them.
