Dear Luther,

Today you turn 3! It has been so much fun watching you grow over the years. The first year of life we expect there to be difficulty through the transition of adding another person into our family, but I think that if you could tell me, you would agree that this last year has been the hardest yet. I don't pretend to know what it feels like for you on a daily basis and how secluded you probably feel, but I do pray for you daily and try my very best to show you how much you are loved. I pray that as you get older you always know how much we love you. Even through the frustrations of not being able to communicate easily, your father and I want you to know that we love you SO MUCH! We pray daily that you would be able to talk to us and tell us when you are scared, hurt, or sick but we also pray that if it would glorify God more for us to continue down this path that He would give you, dad, and I the patience to work together and understand your needs. If you know me or follow me, you know that my passion for fitness is driven by my passion to serve God in everything that I do. Without faith, fitness is just fitness. I know that there is SO much more that I can learn and be able to pass onto others as well.

God placed the desire to attend Revelation Wellness instructor training on my heart a few years ago but the timing wasn't right. I now feel as though God is calling me to rally support from friends and loved ones and...

Luke 2:7

When recalling the story of the birth of Jesus, we often remember that there was nowhere for Mary and Joseph to stay. We often see this play out in children's stories where they are knocking on multiple doors and are being denied every place they go. Looking at the story from our perspective, we know that He is the Savior, we think this is absurd! If only the people knew who Mary was carrying.

Although this is a significant part of the story, I want to take some time today and shift our focus. Have you ever stopped to think that God chose to have the story of Jesus' birth this way? Here you have the Son of God coming down from heaven to live as a human and he could have chosen to be born in the most luxurious castle with people waiting on him. He could have placed himself in a position where he cou...
